The OC is a free house in Mirfield built around a simple idea: keep the pub a pub, look after the real ale and craft beer, and give people reasons to come back.
Since June 2025
A proper independent free house.
Under independent management since June 2025, The OC has focused on building a stronger real ale and craft ale range while keeping the things that make a local pub matter: regulars, newcomers, conversation, games, dogs, music, food and community.
We are not a members club. The OC is open to all.
In Summer 2026, Heavy Woollen CAMRA named The OC its Pub of the Season.

Come for what you know. Try something new if you fancy it.
There is room for the familiar pint, the rotating cask, the craft keg, the dedicated GF line and the person who just wants a lime and soda. Beer should make a pub more interesting, not less welcoming.
